Harry Kane netted a hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur beat Mura in the Europa Conference League. In the Europa League, West Ham United beat Rapid Wien while Leicester City lost to Legia Warsaw.

The England international scored a second-half 20-minute hat-trick as Tottenham Hotspur beat Slovenian side NS Mura in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Spurs were the big winners on the second match-night of the competition, beating their lowly opposition by five goals to one.

Dele Alli opened the scoring for the Londoners from the spot in the fourth minute of the match. Tottenham were two up before even ten minutes had passed, as Giovani Lo Celso added his name to the scoresheet. The Argentine blasted the ball into the roof of the net from close range after collecting it on the edge of the box and running deep.

Brought off the bench in the 59th minute by Nuno Espirito Santo, Kane repaid his manager by netting a hat-trick in twenty minutes. The Englishman scored in the 68th minute after timing his run to perfection behind the Mura defence.

Nine minutes later, he converted from close range, a square pass from Son Heung-min, to put Spurs 4-1 up. Kane completed his treble in the 88th minute with a goal remarkably similar to his first.

Spurs’ big win sees them share the top spot with Rennes, whom they drew on the first match-night of the competition (2-2).

One division up in the Europa League, Leicester City suffered a shock 1-0 loss against Polish side Legia Warsaw. Striker Mahir Emreli scored the only goal of the game for the home side – a scruffy finish from just inside the box after Leicester defender Daniel Amartey failed to win the ball off the striker.

Leicester forward Ayoze Perez scored in the second half from a corner, but his goal was chalked off for a foul by his teammata inside the box.

In contrast, West Ham United beat Rapid Wien in their second Europa League group game. The Hammers scored twice – Declan Rice just before the half-hour mark and Said Benrahma in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time – to go top of their group.
