Arsenal started the season with three defeats, and there were talks going on regarding Arteta’s credentials and future at the Emirates. However, with a 1-0 win over Norwich City, they have found some form and positivity in the ongoing season.

The Gunners’ manager Mikel Arteta explained Arsenal’s situation as he believes that there are brighter days for the club behind the dark clouds. He in his press conference ahead of the North London derby against Tottenham told Sky Sports:

“We are in a different moment in our history.”

“Every club has to go through different patches, and we went through the patch of the last 18 months with a big covid situation on the back of a lot of instability in the club in the last two or three seasons.

“That’s a difficult mix to suddenly turn things around and build something incredible. But I’m a big believer that this had to happen. For this club it had to happen – we had to experience this and that’s going to make us much stronger.”

The Spaniard also credits former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for laying the foundation at the club. The Frenchman achieved a lot of accolades during his time but his latter part of the stint was pretty barren but he ensured that Arsenal always finished in respectable positions in the league.

The Spanish tactician believes that the values that Wenger shared at the Emirates has stayed, and it is helping them make people believe in the long-term project they want to execute at the club currently.
