MI trio Sharma, Bumrah and Yadav made their way from Manchester to Dubai in a charter flight sponsored by the franchise.

The fifth and final match of the Test series against England was postponed indefinitely before play on Friday. Indian Premier League teams soon reacted to this news and started making arrangements for their players to travel to UAE as quickly as possible.

Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah will fly from Manchester to Abu Dhabi on a chartered flight. Royal Challengers Bangalore are expected to do the same for their players Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj.

Mumbai Indians said in a statement on Saturday that all three players, along with their families, have arrived in UAE and will undergo six days of hard quarantine.

The rest of the players involved in the IPL (from India and England) took a commercial flight to the Arab country yesterday. These include seven DC players (Rahane, R Ashwin, Pant, Patel, Shaw, Sharma, Yadav), five CSK players (Pujara, Thakur, Ali, Curran, Jadeja), three PBKS players (Agarwal, KL Rahul, Shami), and one each from the SRH (Wriddhiman Saha) and KKR (Prasidh Krishna) franchises.

These players will have to undergo 6-days of hard quarantine as they have travelled from Manchester and could still be carrying symptoms. They are allowed to join the bio-bubble of their respective teams once the six-day period is over.

The IPL is set to begin on 19th September, just one week from today. When the IPL was temporarily suspended in May, 29 of the 60 matches had been played.

The rest of the fixtures have been rescheduled. Mumbai Indians will kick things off against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday, a game that will bring everyone in India on their feet.

The final of the 14th edition of the IPL is set to be held on October 15 at the Dubai International Stadium, just two days before the T20I World Cup commences.
