The Blues are eyeing a move for Leroy Sane who left Manchester City for Bayern back in 2020. The Bavarians, meanwhile, are targeting RB Salzburg’s 19-year-old sensation Karim Adeyemi, who scored on his senior debut for Germany.

Chelsea’s German emphasis brought Kai Havertz and Timo Werner to the club last summer to add to the already present Antonio Rudiger. Compatriot Thomas Tuchel arrived in January to take over as the head coach of the senior team, giving the English side a uniquely German look. Rumors have since linked the Blues to German national team pair Matthias Ginter and Jonas Hofmann, but the latest one sees a familiar name pop up.

According to the Express, Chelsea are eyeing a move for Sane. The German international is currently tied to the Bundesliga side, who paid the Citizens 45 million euros last summer. However, Sane has found consistency hard to come by on his return to the Bundesliga and has started only 16 times last season.

Chelsea could add a player in the package for the German to further appease Bayern. Express reports that the Blues could even be willing to let one of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic, or Hakim Ziyech go the other way. Hudson-Odoi, especially, has been of interest to Bayern in the past.

Reports elsewhere claim that Bayern are keen on young German forward Karim Adeyemi. The 19-year-old plays for RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga, having spent part of his academy years at Bayern.

Adeyemi has played 59 times for Salzburg and scored 17 goals. The youngster was in the Germany squad that won the 2021 U-21 European Championship. He was called up to the senior team last week by Hansi Flick and celebrated his debut appearance with a goal.

Bild reports Bayern are pursuing a 20 million euros-worth deal for the 19-year-old but face competition from Liverpool and Barcelona. While the Catalans have reinforced their attack with new signings this summer, Liverpool are expected to play most of the season with the ageing frontline of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino, each of whom will turn 30 next year.
