Former Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero, who joined Barcelona to pair up with Lionel Messi in June, has denied reports of leaving Camp Nou after his compatriot’s exit.

It was reported that the main reason behind Aguero’s move to Barcelona was to pair up with his friend Messi. But the five-time Premier League champion saw his dream got crushed as the Blaugrana failed to extend Messi’s contract.

There were reports that the former City forward was not happy with the whole scenario of Leo leaving. Hence there were reports of him also demanding a transfer. But now Aguero has come out and reassured fans that he is staying at Camp Nou.

“Don’t worry, you have me all year long,”

     Aguero told reporters.

The Argentine forward has wished Messi well on social media as he wrote,

“All the best in whatever comes, my friend. And always with that smile. I love you.”

Messi today met the press and explained his side of the story. He broke down in tears and made everyone very emotional all across the globe. People are evidently heartbroken and sad as they won’t get to see their favourite player donning the Blaugrana colours anymore.

The Six-time Ballon d’Or winner did reach an agreement with Barcelona over a fresh five-year contract, but eventually, the Catalans failed to tie down a deal as they were unable to meet La Liga’s current wage restrictions.

The 34-year-old entered free agency in June and was waiting to meet an agreement with his childhood club. But now, after the deal was off, he is being linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
