India captain has come forward to help a former cricketer Sravanthi Naidu’s family in their fight against COVID. Kohli has donated INR 6.77 lakh for the treatment of her mother, who is battling against the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Naidu’s parents, S.K. Suman and Govind Naidu, who are aged 57 and 61 respectively, are battling the deadly virus. They are currently in critical condition and need funds for their treatment.

N Vidya Yadav, the BCCI South Zone convenor of women’s cricket, was thankful to Kohli for his wonderful gesture. She also thanked India’s fielding coach R Sridhar who conveyed the issue to the Indian captain.

“Honestly, I was amazed at his spontaneous gesture. Such a great gesture from such a great cricketer. I am also grateful to the Indian fielding coach R. Sridhar who also took up the issue with Kohli,”

the BCCI South Zone convenor of women’s cricket N Vidya Yadav was quoted saying to Sportstar.

A couple of weeks ago, Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma had organised a fundraiser to help the people suffering from COVID-19.

Thanks to each & every one of you who has donated so far. But there is still so much to be done. Let us all continue to serve & support our country. Every little bit makes a difference. Link in bio.
