SRH coach Trevor Bayliss recently claimed that the side will go with the same playing 11 for the next couple of games despite losing their last encounter. The management decided to leave out David Warner from the side and is looking to stick with the decision despite raging criticism from fans.
What came as a surprise to all the IPL fans, Sunrisers Hyderabad management decided to axe David Warner from captaincy naming Kane Williamson as the skipper of the side. Warner was also not a part of the playing 11 in the clash against Rajasthan Royals, and it looks like his comeback into the SRH side might not happen anytime soon.
Bayliss claimed that they are changing the look of the SRH side to create a more balanced team. Stating that they wanted more bowlers in the side, the head coach said that the Sunrisers outfit wanted to go with Mohammed Nabi in the encounter against Rajasthan Royals.
He also said that Jason Holder will add immensely to the pace bowling department as well. Bayliss even went on to state that the SRH side will stick with the same playing eleven for the next couple of games as well.
“Difficult decision, big decision but we wanted to try and change the makeup of the team. Try and help our bowlers with a few extra overs from another bowler. We have gone with Nabi in this game. Someone like Jason Holder in that middle order will help our pace bowling as well. We want to stick with the same team, rather than dropping players from one or two matches,”
said Bayliss in a chat with Star Sports.
David Warner has not been able to perform as per expectations in the ongoing edition of Vivo IPL 2021. The Australian opener has scored 193 runs in the 6 innings that he has played thus far. He has scored his runs at an average of 32.17, which isn’t poor by any means, but the pace at which he has scored the runs has affected the side to a great extent.
