While India is facing a devastating second wave of coronavirus pandemic, the world is coming together to support the nation. Recently, Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir penned a heartfelt message for India extending his support to the neighbouring country.

India is battling the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day India is recording more than 4 lakh positive cases. The country’s total tally of infected people stands at 2,10, 77, 410. While the situation is getting from bad to worse each passing day, many notable cricketers and global icons have come forward to offer prayers and financial aid to India.

The latest edition in this list is former Pakistani pace bowler Mohammad Amir who has showered prayers for India. The cricketer tweeted a video and stated that Pakistan is with India in these extremely difficult times.

my heartfelt duas with u India. Remember we are all with you through our prayers in these difficult times, may Allah bless us all with his rehmat.#getwellsoonindia pic.twitter.com/68OTEZs1mH

Apart from the left-arm pacer from Pakistan, many other cricketers have shown solidarity with India while the country is battling the hefty crisis. Amir abruptly announced retirement last year from international cricket due to some issues with management. However, the star pacer plays foreign leagues now.

“Prayers with the people of India in these catastrophic times. It’s time to show solidarity and pray together. I also request all the people out there to strictly follow SOPs, as it’s for our safety only. Together we can do it,”

Babar Azam tweeted a few days back.

The second wave of COVID-19 has really struck India hard, especially post March. The number of positive cases has risen monumentally. On 15 March, India recorded more than 1 lakh cases. After a few days, more than 3 lakh cases were being reported every day across the country, and now it has already crossed the mark of 4 lakh thrice.

Moreover, BCCI had to halt the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League midway after many players across franchises tested positive for the deadly virus.
