Amid interests from Arsenal and Liverpool, Moises Caicedo and Alexis MacAllister may leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, according to manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The Seagulls’ incredible 3-0 Premier League victory over the Gunners on Sunday was made possible by the midfield duo. At the Emirates, De Zerbi’s team severely damaged Mikel Arteta’s team’s chances of winning the title.

Following the victory, the Brighton manager was questioned about potential departures this summer. In his reply, he mentioned Caicedo and Mac Allister as two players who might be leaving the Amex, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:

“For sure, we will lose some players. Maybe Caicedo, maybe Mac Allister. We have to be ready to bring in more good players.”

Caicedo, 21, just signed a new contract with the Seagulls in March that ties him to Amex through 2027. Arsenal, however, expressed interest in the Ecuadorian in January. The player was pushing for a move, but the Gunners’ £70 million offer was rejected.

According to reports, this summer will see a revival of interest in Caicedo among residents of north London. According to reports, they will have to pay £80 million to hire him. In 39 games across competitions, the young midfielder has been in excellent form, chipping in with two goal contributions. His tenacity and energy have been crucial in the middle of De Zerbi’s midfield.

In the meantime, Mac Allister, 24, is having a sensational season for both club and country and has been linked to a move to Liverpool. In 36 games for Brighton, he has scored 12 goals and provided two assists. Additionally, he contributed to two goals in Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup victory.

The Merseysiders intend to completely restructure their midfield in the summer and will reportedly triple Mac Allister’s pay. They are getting ready to offer the Argentine a contract worth £150,000 per week.

Following the win over Arsenal, Brighton are now sixth in the Premier League standings with 58 points, one place ahead of Tottenham Hotspur who have 57 points this season.
