The England international moved to Chelsea from Manchester City in a transaction that was valued 47.5 million pounds last summer. Despite this, the transfer has not been a success for the Blues, who are now in the bottom half of the Premier League standings and are on a losing streak of six games in all competitions.

After Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel were both fired earlier in the season, Frank Lampard is currently serving as the club’s interim manager, and things are not going well. It is evident that the club legend is not the answer to the team’s managerial woes.

Lampard is still in command as the team travels to take on Bournemouth on Saturday, with the knowledge that a loss would send them to the bottom of the standings, behind even the Cherries.
Although no agreement has been finalised as of yet, former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is the frontrunner to replace Lampard permanently this summer.
