Tottenham Hotspur can sign France midfielder Adrien Rabiot for just 13.2 million pounds in January. Due to the expiration of his contract at Juventus, the former Manchester United target is available for a reduced fee.

Rabiot’s current contract expires next summer. As a result, Juve’s only chance of obtaining a fee for the player may be next month. From January 1, the 27-year-old will be free to speak with foreign clubs about a pre-contract agreement at the end of the season. Rabiot has been a regular for Juventus this season, so a contract extension cannot be ruled out.

However, as his contract expires, speculation about his future will increase. According to Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham is interested in Rabiot. Juve would accept a fee of around 13.2 million pounds to avoid losing him for nothing in six months. Spurs signed two players from Juventus last January and may be on the verge of signing another.

Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski left the Old Lady 12 months ago for north London. Both players have proven to be excellent acquisitions by ex-Juventus manager Antonio Conte.

Rabiot has started 11 of Juventus’ 15 Serie A games this season. He was also a regular for France on their way to the World Cup final, where they were defeated by Argentina.

Last summer, United came close to signing Rabiot. They agreed on an initial fee of 15 million with Juve but were unable to reach an agreement on personal terms.

Rabiot insisted in November that he had made the correct decision by remaining in Italy.

“It’s true, there were contacts in the Premier League, but in the end it was perhaps fortunate that I stayed, perhaps the best decision. The Premier League remains the most followed league, but the future I don’t think about. The club and I will have time to weigh every possibility,”

    he said.

During the World Cup, however, he admitted that playing in England is a dream of his. Rabiot said at a press conference:

“I’ve always said that I would like to play in England in my career. Will it be at the end of my contract at Juve? I don’t know, but I know that I have this desire, this objective to evolve in the Premier League.”
