England captain Ben Stokes and Ben Duckett completed the formalities on the fourth day of the Karachi Test to complete what was one of the most dominant away series wins.

The visitors thrashed Pakistan by eight wickets in the third Test as they became the first team to register a clean sweep on Pakistani soil.

Chasing only 167, England were in a hurry to finish the match on the third day itself but they were 55 runs short. It took Ben Stokes and Ben Duckett just 38 minutes to mow that down on the fourth day morning. Duckett remained unbeaten on a superb 82 off 78 while Stokes made 35 not out.

Earlier in the match, Pakistan made 304 in the first innings on the back of Babar Azam’s 78 and 56 from Agha Salman. Harry Brook scored his third century in as many games to propel England to 354 and take a crucial first innings lead of 50 runs.

England also had fifty-plus contributions from Ollie Pope and Ben Foakes, while Mark Wood and Ollie Robinson also added important runs down the order.  Jack Leach dismissed the Pakistan top three in a span of six balls before captain Babar and Saud Shakeel added a 110-run stand.

I can’t put into words how I feel. Without my mothers prayers, I would never have got to this stage.

I’m forever grateful to my mum, who unfortunately wasn’t able to be here with me. However, her prayers are always with me regardless.@englandcricket #Debut | #pakvseng pic.twitter.com/Gtx75V3imh

The 18-year-old debutant Rehan Ahmed then spun his magic, picking 5 for 48 and becoming the youngest player to take a 5-fer in Test cricket.

Harry Brook was adjudged the ‘player of the series’ for his magnificent batting performance, piling on 468 runs across three Tests at an average of 93.60 while striking at 93, including three hundreds.
