Massimilano Allegri’s Juventus extended their excellent streak in the league to six games with a big win over rivals Lazio. The Bianconeri had the better of veteran coach Maurizio Sarri’s men, who were without star striker Ciro Immobile. Juventus attacker Moise Kean had a field day, with two goals, as the opposition defence could not manage to cope with the Italian’s rapid pace.

Lazio’s midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was in good touch at the Allianz Stadium, making a couple of clever runs into the attacking third. However, the Serbian was caught out as he attempted to do what he has become so good at, beating two men before running into Adrien Rabiot, who picked out Kean with a stunning ball.

The striker made no mistake, putting over a perfect dink over Ivan Provedel in goal. Kean would strike once again early in the second half as Juventus ran Lazio over. Kostic and Arkadiusz Milik both came very close to scoring, only to be denied by the in-form Provedel.

Lazio too, threatened the Juventus goal in the second half, via Milinkovic-Savic and Pedro Rodriguez, who picked out Luis Alberto with an excellent pass. The latter would miss uncharacteristically, shooting straight at a grateful Wojciech Szczesny, summing up Lazio’s evening at Allianz Stadium.

Manuel Locatelli also created a chance for the hosts, playing a wonderful ball to Kostic, but the Serbian could not convert. The final nail in the coffin was hammered in by Milik, who tapped in a simple chance created by the returning Federico Chiesa.

Felipe Anderson forced a stunning last-minute save with a brilliant shot in the last minute, but it was too little too late as Sarri’s men lost out on the chance to go to second place. Allegri will be pleased with his side’s performance as they climbed up to the fourth spot in the standings.
