Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Italy youth international Destiny Udogie from Serie A side Udinese on a five-year contract, which will run until the end of the 2026/27 season. Udinese have received 18 million plus add-ons from the English giants in return for the 19-year-old wing-back. They will also keep him on loan at the Dacia Arena until the end of the 2022/23 season.

“It is an honor for me to play under a big coach like Antonio Conte. I think he knows the football very well and I’m going to grow a lot with him. I think the Premier League is the biggest league in the world.

The most difficult and I like challenges, difficult challenges so I’m excited to start and, for me also playing for Tottenham as well – a big team – I think it’s a big dream come true,”

he said upon completing his move.

Udogie enjoyed a breakout season at Udinese last year while on loan from Hellas Verona. The youngster made 35 appearances and scored five goals, prompting the Friulani to turn his stay permanent this summer – before flipping him for a 14 million euro profit.

Meanwhile, Brighton have replaced Marc Cucurella – who joined Chelsea earlier in the window for a package worth more than 60 million pounds – with Pervis Estupinan. The Seagulls have paid Villarreal 14 million for the player, who will join the Premier League side on a five-year deal until 2027.

Brighton boss Graham Potter pointed specifically towards the youngster’s international pedigree and Champions League experience while detailing why he could be a great signing for his side.

“In addition to his international experience, he has played for Villareal in the Champions League and Europa League, as well as gaining plenty of experience in La Liga,”

    Potter said.

Estupinan was picked up by Premier League outfit Watford in 2016 but spent four successive seasons out on loan before leaving for Villarreal in 2020 without making a single appearance for the Hornets. He won the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League with the Yellow Submarine and helped them reach the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League the subsequent season.
