Wolverhampton have loaned captain Conor Coady to Premier League side Everton for the season. Meanwhile, Wolves have themselves signed winger Goncalo Guedes from Valencia.

The 29-year-old center-back Coady is an academy product of the Toffees’ local rivals Liverpool but made only one senior appearance for the Reds in his nine years at the club before signing for lower-tier outfit Huddersfield Town permanently in 2014. Coady switched to Wolves after just one season with the Terriers; he has been at the club for the past seven years, four of which he spent as the captain.

The player will take the number 30 shirt at Everton. He becomes the club’s fourth signing of the season after Ruben Vinagre, James Tarkowski, and Dwight McNeil.

“I’ve grown up around the city, I know the Football Club, how big this club is, and what it means to the supporters. I’m someone who was desperate to come here, to play for this club. I’ve got family and friends who are massive Evertonians,”

    he told the club’s website.

Meanwhile, Wolves have filled the newly open spot in the first team with Portugal international Goncalo Guedes. The Premier League side has splashed 30 million euros on the winger, who joins the club from LaLiga outfit Valencia on a deal that will run for the next five seasons.

Guedes ends a five-year stint with Los Che in the process – whom he joined from Paris Saint-Germain – during which he scored 36. He will wear the number 17 for his new club.

Finally, Premier League new boys Bournemouth have added Argentine centre-back Marcos Senesi to their squad for the next four seasons. The central defender has joined the club from Dutch giants Feyenoord after the Cherries agreed to pay them a fee in the region of 15 million euros.

The 25-year-old Senesi spent three seasons in Rotterdam, during which he made 116 appearances and scored eight goals. He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer after Ryan Fredericks, Joe Rothwell, Marcus Tavernier, and Neto.
