Manchester City full-back is set to become Arsenal’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, reports David Ornstein of The Athletic. The Gunners, having already paid the Citizens 45 million pounds for the transfer of Gabriel Jesus, are understood to have agreed to a 30 million pound deal for the Ukrainian, with the selling club also receiving a further two million in add-ons potentially.

Furthermore, Arsenal have also agreed to personal terms with the player’s camp. The versatile 25-year-old, who signed for City from Russian side Ufa in 2016, will sign a four-year deal with the Gunners, which will run until the end of the 2025/26 season. Zinchenko will follow Matt Turner, Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira, and Jesus as Arsenal’s fifth summer signing.

Having officially penned a contract with the Citizens in 2016, Zinchenko spent a season out on loan with PSV Eindhoven, for whom he made 17 appearances. He returned to his parent club in the summer of 2017 and was integrated into the first-team squad, for which he has been a utility player ever since, playing, when required as a left-back. He has made 128 appearances in five years for Pep Guardiola’s side, scored two goals, and won four league titles.

In preparation to part ways with the Ukraine international, Manchester City are planning to move for Brighton star Marc Cucurella. As per Fabrizio Romano, the Citizens are ready to approach the Seagulls with the bid for the Spanish full-back to try and test their resolve.

Meanwhile, BHA are unwilling to sell the La Masia graduate just yet. The club hierarchy is planning talks with the player’s representatives regarding an improved contract.

Cucurella joined Brighton from Getafe in the summer of 2021, signing a long-term contract with the South Coast side. In his first year in England, the Spaniard made 38 appearances, scored one goal, and was named his club’s player of the season.
