As per widespread reports, Liverpool forward Divock Origi is closing in on a free transfer to Serie A leaders AC Milan. The Belgian’s current deal runs out in June, and Milan are the club most interested in adding him to their roster of attackers ahead of the next season.

AC Milan are prepared to meet with the player’s representatives in the coming weeks to seal a deal worth 3.5-4 million euros per season, reports Sky.

The 26-year-old forward moved to Anfield from Lille in 2014 for a fee believed to be in the region of 10 million pounds. In 171 appearances since, the Belgian has scored 40 times, including once in the 2019 Champions League final.

On the incomings front, Liverpool are among a quartet of clubs chasing PSV Eindhoven attacker Cody Gakpo. The Athletic reports that the Dutchman is attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich, and has a gentleman’s understanding with the club, who will not stand in his way should a desirable offer from abroad arrives to acquire his services.

Cody Gakpo has now been directly involved in 20 goals in 19 appearances in the Eredivisie this season:

The report claims PSV will be looking for a fee above 35 million pounds from Gakpo’s suitors; the player doesn’t have a break clause in his contract, which he signed last earlier this year until 2026.

Furthermore, Leeds United’s Raphinha is another player of interest to Liverpool, as he is to several other major clubs across Europe. Reports claim that the Reds have asked about the Brazil international amid the uncertainty surrounding Leeds.

The Whites are not yet secured of Premier League status for next season, and relegation could force them to sell one of their key assets.

Talks to extend Raphinha’s contract have stalled, claim reports, with Leeds refusing to budge on the 70 million release clause in his contract. Raphinha’s present deal runs out in 2024, and Liverpool – along Bayern, Chelsea and Barcelona – are keeping a close eye on the situation.
