With Dusan Vlahovic seemingly on his way to Juventus, Arsenal have decided to look at alternatives as they prepare to bring in a striker before the end of the month. Reports claim that The Gunners are also interested in five midfielders.

The Gunners have chased Vlahovic throughout the winter and were prepared to pay Fiorentina’s asking price, but for the player to decide against the move. The North London club has now turned to alternatives.

On Arsenal’s list of long-term strikers is Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin. As per The Athletic, the club is prepared to match the Toffees’ asking price, believed to be 60 million pounds. Convincing Calvert-Lewin to make the switch won’t be an issue either, but Everton’s reluctance to sell their prized asset in the middle of the season might kill the prospect of an immediate transfer.

Furthermore, Arsenal also have Real Sociedad sensation Alexander Isak on their shortlist. Prising him away from Spain will be a relatively easier task, compared to some of the other touted moves, since he has a reported 75 million break clause in his contract.

The Gunners are also unopposed to the idea of taking Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic on loan for the remainder of the season – similar to how they brought in Martin Odegaard last year.

As per The Athletic’s report, Mikel Arteta also wants to bring in a midfielder before the end of the transfer window. The Gunners are short in that department and are monitoring some long-term targets, including Tyler Adams of RB Leipzig, whom they also wanted in the summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ruben Neves and Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz also interest the North London club, as is Olympique Lyonnais’ Bruno Guimaraes.

Arsenal also have had negotiations with Juventus regarding the loan of Arthur Melo but haven’t been able to reach an agreement yet.
