Chelsea’s centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who was a pivotal cog in their Champions League triumph last season, will be running out of his contract at the end of this season with the London-based football club. Although club director Marina Granovskaia has offered him an improved contract hoping to extend his stay, the footballer is looking for something more and is open to moving away as a free agent.

The German is currently free to negotiate pre-agreement deals with other clubs and a number of European elites are looking at him. Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus and a couple of other clubs are keen on getting the player, but as it stands, only the Parisians have made a significant advancement in terms of offering the player what he wants.

The Ligue 1 runners-up are offering the footballer a deal worth 6 million pounds per season, but as it stands the footballer is keen on joining Los Blancos. The Galacticos have offered a less lucrative contract in comparison to the one PSG are proposing, but they could seal an agreement before the summer window arrives.

The Blues have remained in talks with Rudiger to try and extend his contract at the club. But the possibility of anything good coming out of it is less, with the 28-year-old keen on exploring different opportunities. Rudiger has made 176 appearances for Chelsea since they signed him for 30 million pounds from AS Roma back in 2017. This season, he has appeared in 28 games and scored twice across all tournaments.

He has admirers in England as well, with Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick touted as a big fan of the player. But he might not sign for another English club, especially considering the fact that he wants to play at the Santiago Bernabeu. Thomas Tuchel confirmed that it is possible the player will move away as it is January, and he hasn’t signed a new contract as yet.

Having made his mark with VFB Stuttgart, he made a 4-million-euros move to AS Roma on loan before converting it into a permanent deal the following season. Antonio Conte insisted on bringing the player to Chelsea during his second and final season at the club, and Rudiger went on to make 40 plus appearances in his first two seasons.
