In a battle of titans between Dabang Delhi KC and U Mumba the former came out victorious over their opponents in a match dominated by star raider Naveen Kumar who became the fastest raider in the league to reach the 500 point milestone.

The metropolitan franchises faced each other in the opening contest of Day 3, U Mumba had the early advantage over DD as they kept the opposition raiders in check not giving them an opportunity to score points. At the end of half-time, both sides were separated by a very thin margin, but Dabang Delhi edged over their opponent, securing a 31-27 victory, registering their second win in a row.

Naveen scored more than half of his team’s points, racking up seventeen points in offense which included a brilliant super raid in the first half. The Dabang defense was also up to the task tonight as they managed to subdue U Mumba’s ace, Abhisekh Singh, who could only score five points in the contest, spending most of the time on the sidelines.

Delhi fans will be definitely happy with their team’s performance in the league so far and will be expecting another victory from the franchise as they take on Gujarat Giants on December 26.

Bengal Warriors continue winning run; Bengaluru Bulls find their first win

The Day 3 of Pro Kabaddi League 8 was full of excitement as the Bulls led by Pawan Sehrawat faced Surjeet Singh’s Tamil Thalaivas in the second fixture of the night. It was the Bulls who came out victorious in the battle of the two South Indian franchises as they managed to get a thumping eight-point win over their opponents.

Pawan Sehrawat took a backseat approach to the game, settling into the captain’s role against the Thalaivas, allowing his support raiders Chandran Ranjit and Bharat to score points for the side in the offensive department. Coach Randhir Sehrawat will be definitely happy with his team’s performance tonight as the Bulls worked like a well-oiled machine in both offence and defense.

In the final game of Day 3, the defending champions, Bengal Warrior took on Gujarat Giants, a fixture that was dominated by the defenders from both sides. Both teams took a slow approach to the game, relying on the do-or-die raids to score points in the contest.

Rakesh Narwal was outstanding for the Giants scoring 12 points in the match, but it was not enough to take his side over the finish line as the defending champions managed to run the tides in their favor in the last ten minutes of the game.

This was a narrow escape for the Warriors, who will be happy with their 31-28 victory against Gujarat. Maninder Singh was the top raider for the winners scoring eight points in the fixture, but the ace will have to take his game up by a notch if the Warriors wish to clinch their second title this season.
