Jesse Lingard and Donny Van De Beek have found it difficult to break into the Manchester United eleven this season. The two are being pursued by several Premier League clubs, with the January transfer window on the horizon.
As per the Northern Echo, United would be willing to let go of the Englishman for a fee in the region of 10 million pounds. The Red Devils thought to have asked for more than double that amount when West Ham United approached them for Lingard in the summer, but the player’s value has since declined due to his contract approaching its end.
Lingard will be free to leave the club in July 2022, therefore, the only time Man Utd could get something for him is in January. Along with West Ham, the newly-rich Newcastle United are interested in the midfielder.
While the 28-yer-old has still enjoyed the occasional appearance off the bench for Manchester United this season, the same cannot be said for Van De Beek. The midfielder, who signed for the club last summer from Ajax, has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines – as he did for much of the previous campaign.
The Dutchman has fallen behind Scott McTominay, Fred, and Paul Pogba in the central midfield pecking order, while further forward, Bruno Fernandes has the attacking midfield position locked down.
The Sun reports that Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Van De Beek in the upcoming transfer window, with the player having already given up on his career at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United, again, are credited with an interest in the Dutchman who has made just two starts for the Red Devils in the league this season.
